With food made from scratch using fresh ingredients, friendly service, and a great atmosphere, Stella's is worth the trip.  Come as you are, the fine casual dining makes this the perfect destination for any occasion.  A full bar can quench your thirst while you catch the game.  The dining room is perfect for a casual conversation.  And our Event Center can host a private party for up to 200.

Stella's on 97 opened in the Fall of 2007.  Over the years we have evolved into a "fine-casual" place to meet over good food and drink.

Our in-house Executive Chef, Dan Grilz, has built a menu using fresh, premium ingredients that result in flavorful dishes made to order.  He is supported by his Sous Chef, Kandi Renelt, who makes sure Chef Grilz quality and consistency standards are met on every plate.

A couple menu highlights include; Seared Ahi Tuna, tender and full of flavor; The Monkey's Uncle, skewered marinated chicken with plum sauce; the Mr. Reuben with in-house braised corned beef; Thick Cut Jerked Pork Chop, tender and juicy; MN Mac n Cheese, this ain't your mama's version; Kobe Burger, premium ingredients stacked high...a wine worthy burger!

What would good food be without good drinks.  Our Bar Manager, Slater Baxter, has put together a full beverage guide that includes a great list of wine, something for every palate and every dish.  He has also added some great cocktails unique to Stella's.

Stella's beverage guide includes seasonal selections of beers and cocktails.  Check in with your server, and they'll help you pick one that's just right. 

Stella's also hosts private parties from ten to two hundred guests.  Grooms dinners, wedding receptions, birthday parties, anniversaries, reunions, business meetings and holiday parties turn great when they are hosted at Stella's.  We put all the same care into private parties that we do for the day to day guests.

Kandi Renelt

SOUS CHEF

Kandi Renelt has been with Stella's since she graduated from culinary school in 2009.  She has been instrumental in getting us to where we are today.  Her attention to detail and planning keeps the kitchen running smoothly and food quality consistent. 

DAN GRILZ

EXECUTIVE CHEF

Dan Grilz, Executive Chef at Stella’s on 97, has developed the restaurant’s menu into an eclectic selection of fresh, from scratch regional and local offerings. He’s previously concocted palate-pleasing offerings at the Hanger Room in Wilernie and the Bayport Cookery, among other establishments.

SLATER BAXTER

BAR MANAGER

Slater Baxter came of age in Southern Minnesota receiving a degree in business management from MN State, Mankato Campus.  He’s been tending bar and pairing the food and drink for thirteen years, the last nine as Bar Manager at Stella’s on 97.
