Oktoberfest
Note : This is a sample of the menu items that will be available.  The menu will change from day to day based on availability of fresh ingredients.

Appetizer:
Schweinefleisch mit Eingelegten
Tender pork loin and sweet pearl onions marinated with Riesling, fresh dill, stone ground mustard, apple cider, and tarragon vinegar are dredged in flour and lebkuchen then shallow fried until crispy. Tossed in Cloudberry-gingersnap sauce.

Rufina’s Kase Knoephfla
Potato dumplings stuffed with veal, cheese, and fresh herbs. Boiled until tender then pan fried in butter with toasted bread crumbs, parsley, salt and fresh ground black pepper.

Räucherlachs mit Frischkäse
Sliced smoked salmon served on artisanal rye bread with capers, cornichones, and cream cheese, fresh dill, chives, and parsley.

Schweinefleisch mit Eingelegten Zwiebeln
Tender pork loin and sweet pearl onions marinated with Riesling, fresh dill, stone ground mustard, apple cider, and tarragon vinegar are dredged in flour and lebkuchen, and then shallow fried until crispy. Tossed with a sweet and aromatic Cloudberry-gingersnap sauce and topped with chives and currants.

Entrees:
The Bratwurst Burger
A thick seasoned brat burger topped with caraway kraut and Gruyere on grilled pumpernickel with homemade jalapeno-dill thousand island dressing and coarse ground mustard.

Bayerische Frikadellen
Tender meatballs made with veal, beef, dried currants, and sage. Roasted with potato, carrot, rutabaga, onion, and woodland mushrooms in a thickened Dornfelder-veal demi glace.

Wiener schnitzel
Hand cut escalopes of veal, dredged in seasoned breadcrumbs and sautéed in butter with shallots, mushrooms, Riesling, lemon juice, and parsley. Served with braised red cabbage, kupfer groschen, and boiled potatoes.

Rinderfilet mit Kirschen
Black Angus beef tenderloin, rubbed with fresh herbs and seasoning then roasted with Dornfelder, clove, garlic, cherries, and rosemary. Served with Cherry-Dornfelder pan reduction, braised red cabbage, kupfer groschen, and boiled potatoes.

Würstchen mit Kraut Kümmel
A variety of bier braised sausages (Knockwurst, Bratwurst, and Smoked) over homemade caraway kraut. Served with braised red cabbage, kupfer groschen, and boiled potatoes.

Gebratenes Huhn mit Zitrone
Spring hen marinated with capers, lemon, Paulaner, and thyme. Slow roasted until crispy then glazed with apricot-Riesling syrup. Served with braised red cabbage, kupfer groschen, and boiled potatoes.

Gebratene gefüllte Schweinelende
Slow roasted pork loin stuffed with apples, caraway kraut, and caramelized onion. Served with horseradish-peppercorn gravy, braised red cabbage, kupfer groschen, and boiled potatoes.

Paulaner Octoberfest Bottle
In Munich this beer is referred to as “liquid nourishment”.

Spatten Octoberfest Tap
Created in 1872 this was the world’s first Octoberfest beer.

Lake Superior Octoberfest Bottle
Brewed in Duluth MN this beer won Gold at the 2009 World Beer Championships.

Woodchuck Hard Cider Bottle
Amber in color with a sweet crisp finish.

Octoberfest Cocktails:
Spicy Apple Cider
Cinnamon schnapps, apple schnapps and cranberry juice makes this drink “warm”.

Jagermeister Float
A mixture of Jagermeister, root beer schnapps, cream and cola served over ice.

Wine:
Starling Castle Riesling
Melon and peach aromas, leading into pear, pineapple, and grapefruit flavors.

Starling Castle Red Dornfelder
Intense and fruity character combines luscious flavors of raspberry and cherry.

Das Boot Rules
Deposit = 1 shoe from any participant.

Suggested filling of Das Boot is Summit Octoberfest Beer.

Breaking Das Boot will result in a 40 dollar payment to Stella’s for replacement of Das Boot.

1. Das Boot can't touch the table until it is empty.

2. Once done drinking out of Das Boot, you must flick the glass with your finger before passing the Das Boot to the next person to your left. This will bring you good luck.

3. If you get splashed in the face, you must drink again.

4. The person who drank from Das Boot immediately preceding the person who empties Das Boot must purchase the next fill (the person to the right of the one who finishes Das Boot).

5. If you break rules 2-3, you must drink again.

6. Never clink Das Boot with other glassware or slam them on the table. They may break - therefore ending the contest.
