Bastille Day
Stella's is always looking for something to celebrate, so July 14th - 17th we are celebrating Bastille Day.  What's Bastille Day?  It's a French holiday celebrating the rebels over throwing a prison... or something like that-- either way, it's a good excuse to try some French food and have a great time!

Chef Geno is cooking up some traditional French appetizers, entrees & desserts; and Slater has the perfect French beverage to pair with each dish.  Once again, Stella's brings great international cuisine to Forest Lake.  Don't miss it.

Bastille Day Menu

Appetizers:

Salade Lyonnaise   
Frisee, Mixed greens, smoked pork belly, crouton, and crispy poached egg

Soupe a l'Oignon    
French Onion Soup

Vichyssoise   
Potato and leek soup (served cold)

Escargots La Marseillaise   
Snails roasted with lemongrass and baby garlic

Seared Foie Gras with Brioche
Hudson Valley duck liver w/toasted brioche & sliced apple

Moules au Crème  
Mussels steamed in Pernod with shallots, cream, and lobster stock. Served with toasted baguette

Tarte de Oignons with goat cheese
Caramelized onion and goat cheese baked in a paper thin phyllo shell

Grenouilles Provencale
Frog legs dusted with seasoned flour and fried until crispy. Served with endive and remoulade

Crevette du Champagne and Caviar   
Shrimp sauteed with butter, shallot, scapes, vanilla bean, and champagne. Served with rouille and caviar

Entrees:

Petite Bouillabaisse   
Shellfish stew heavily scented with saffron

Coq au Vin   
Chicken slowely braised with cognac, Pinot Noir, mushroom, pearl onion, fresh parsley, and stock. Served with baby potatoes and scapes

Boeuf Bourguignon  
Black Angus tenderloin tips braised with Beaujolais, onion, carrot, peas, baby heirloom potato and fresh thyme

Salmon Louis XVI   
Salmon loin lightly seasoned with fresh herbs and wrapped in a purse of puff pastry, then baked to golden and served with sweet peas in lobster crème sauce

Poulet Roti   
French Roasted Chicken with herb butter

sweet peas with mint butter

Haricot Vert   
green beans with bacon honey butter

Pommes Frites   
fried potatoes

Crème de Cassis, dry vermouth and soda water over ice garnished with lemon rind
